Pad Man is an upcoming 2018 Indian biographical film written and directed by R. Balki. This film produced by Twinkle Khanna, Hope Productions, KriArj Entertainment, SPE Films India & Cape of Good Films under the banner of Sony Pictures Releasing. This film production companies are KriArj Entertainment, Hope Productions, Columbia Pictures & Mrs Funnybones Movies. It stars Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor & Radhika Apte in lead role. It is planned to release on 26 January 2018 (Republic Day)

Padman Movie Storyline

The film will be based on "The Sanitary Man of Sacred Land", a short story from Twinkle Khanna's book, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, which is inspired from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a Tamil Nadu-based social activist who revolutionized the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine. Padman revolves around the story of Arunachalam who invented low-cost sanitary pads.
